The Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra is touring from November 2-6 with the opera gala “The Masters of Song”. The tour is presented in cooperation with the Queen Sonja's International Music Competition, and the three soloists have now been confirmed.
They are:
Nina Gravrok (Norway) – soprano
Angelica Voje (Norway) – mezzo-soprano
Boris Rudak, Russia – tenor
The conductor will be Peter Szilvay, while Opera Director Katharina Jakhelln Semb will be the Master of Ceremonies.
“We are extremely satisfied with the soloists for this opera gala. Nina Gravrok and Angelica Voje are both former award winners in the competition who now have international carriers. In addition, we are proud of the fact that both are from this region. Boris Rudak was a semi finalist in this year’s competition. He distinguished himself in an extremely positive manner and he has an impressive list of achievements,” says the CEO of the Arctic Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra, Rolf-Cato Raade.
“The programme is tailor-made for the Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra and our soloists, and the audiences can look forward to a night in the name of romance. There will be music by Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Verdi and Bellini, among others. In addition, there will be a taste of nest year’s major performance La Boheme by Puccini, so buy tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
