"Classics Today" praises The Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra´s recording of Ole Olsen. "The performances here are excellent--as vivid and vital as the music itself. It would be very good to hear more of Olsen; apparently he wrote a lot."
The internationally recognized guide to classical music "Classics Today", with reviewer David Hurwitz, praises The Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra and composer Ole Olsen.
The Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra recorded its debut album at Kulturhuset in Harstad in February with Swedish record company BIS. The CD features the symphonic poem Åsgaardsreien, Symphony No. 1 and the first ever recording of the Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra.
Chief Executive and Artistic Director Rolf-Cato Raade is very happy with the critique. "Hurwitz is one of the most recognized reviewers internationally and is known for his "sharp tongue". We have advertised culture from Northern Norway in the best possible way. This we should be proud of!"
