Arctic Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra
Henning Kraggerud is Artistic Director of the Arctic Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. Kraggerud is an extremely renowned violinist, violist and composer, well known for his virtuosity, creativity and strong communication skills, and these are the same values that is central for his work as artistic director for the Arctic Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
The Arctic Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and Henning Kraggerud have recorded Grieg’s Three violin concertos (Naxos, 2013) and Kraggeruds own, stunning composition, Equinox (SIMAX, 2015), to be followed up with a recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons in 2017.
The string players at Arctic Philharmonic and Kraggerud, have become one of the leading string orchestras in Europe, and have during the recent years been noticed through recordings and the orchestras national and international tours, for the orchestras energetic playing, communication and sound.

Kraggerud has performed on major concert stages such as Carnegie Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Beijing Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl as a soloist with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hallé, Melbourne Symphony and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
Kraggerud and violist Lars Anders Plots are artistic directors of Risør Chamber Music Festival, after taking over from Leif Ove Andsnes. He is also a professor at the Barratt Due Institute of Music. Henning Kraggerud plays a 1744 Guarneri del Gesu, on loan from Dextra Musica AS, Sparebankstiftelsen DnB NOR.
